What Exactly Are Bath Bombs?

We all have heard about them but unfortunately not many of us know what exactly these bath bombs are. Even those who use them regularly are unaware of what they are composed of. In the recent years, numerous such products have gained enormous popularity especially among females. Most of the females, who love soaking their bodies in the tubs, are the ones who prefer using these types of products to make the experience even more revitalizing.

So, if you are someone who wants to know what these balls are made up of then read on…

What are they made of?

Some bath bombs are soft while most of them are hard to touch. They are made up of materials which dissolve and make bubbles once they are in a tub filled with water. Basically, as soon as they come in contact with water they start dissolving and crackling. Not only this, the scented ones release the fragrance while they are dissolving. Some of them also have essential oils, cleansing ingredients and minerals in them which are quite beneficial to the human skin.

Citric acid, baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), magnesium sulfate, and com starch are also present in them. If any of these ingredients is missing, the product will lose its effects until it is replaced with an equivalent ingredient. Therefore, all of these ingredients when combined together are capable of producing the fizzing effects for which these products are popular. However, at times a bath bomb can also contain artificial colors, fried flowers and glitter to add more effects to the bathing experience.

Bath bombs which have minerals, cleansing agents and essential oils are helpful to the person in a therapeutic way. In fact, in the recent past many people have established the belief that such products are great to relax their bodies and minds. Other products like fizzers and bath salts are also popular for the same purpose. Today, there are a number of flavors available. For instance, the mint flavor is known for energizing the body in summer whereas the rose flavor and other similar sweet ones are meant for relaxation. The almond oil ones are good for moisturizing the skin whereas the ones with avocado oil have quite a lot of healing properties associated to them.

Although medical science does not approve the fact that such products have any therapeutic advantages, many still use them and believe in it. The scent, the bubbles and the fizzy effect are enough to relax the body. Once your body is relaxed, your mind will be relaxed too. Therefore, using bath salts and bath bombs is a great way revitalizing your body in those stressful days.
